November Newsletter

The start of our 2020-2021 school year looked a little different this year, but we are back to in person learning and are so very thankful to have our classroom full of students again! Currently, our three-year-old classroom has 12 students enrolled and our four-year-old classroom has 15 students enrolled. The students are doing great at keeping their masks on, washing their hands, and using hand sanitizer to help keep everyone safe. I think they are just as excited to be in person as the teachers are!

We started our first week of with fire safety week. The Herscher Fire Department visited us at the church and practiced how to stop, drop, and roll out in the church lot and about fire safety in their homes. We also had our first fire drill that week. We finished the month with Halloween festivities. Fun activities will still take place but will look a little different this year as well. Halloween costumes, crafts, and snacks are on the agenda, but unfortunately parents are not able to attend the in-class party this year.

As many of you know, with our local Bakers Square closing, we were looking for new ideas for fundraising for the preschool. We ended up choosing two new options for our fall fundraiser, donuts, and wreaths. The proceeds from these fundraisers will allow for the preschool to purchase new toys for the classroom, upgrade our outdoor toys, and help fund community events and field trips.

The first fundraiser we will be taking part in is the sale of Christmas greenery. Standard wreaths 22-24” costs $30, deluxe wreaths 27”-29” cost $38, crosses 26” cost $39, and spray/swag 26” cost $35. The owner of the farm reached out to us offering 60% back to the preschool on all sales! The products are all handmade, locally grown, chemical free, and proceeds help support a small farm operation as well as our preschool. Flyers will be sent out in the church bulletin and all orders and money will be due November 5th. The greenery will be delivered on Saturday, November 28th so pick up will be Saturday and Sunday after church services.

The second fundraiser we will be taking part in is the sale of Krispie Kreme donuts. It will run until November 11th and donuts will be picked up on Saturday, November 14th.  Original glazed donuts are being sold for $9 per box with $4.50 going straight to Little Lambs, specialty donuts being sold for $11 per box with $5.75 going straight to Little Lambs, and bags of coffee being sold for $9 per bag with $2 going straight to Little Lambs. If you would like to preorder, please contact Jessica Kruse with your order or feel free to stop by the table on your way out of church November 14-November 15 to purchase a box of donuts.

All this information will be updated weekly on our official Trinity’s Little Lambs Preschool Website! Thank you to Mrs. Brown for setting up our own preschool website and to the anonymous donors that funded our new website. The website not only allows us to keep our preschool families and community up to date with current events happening in our school, but also allows our parents to use remote sign in and sign out forms to help keep everyone safe. We are excited to see the preschool grow and I feel that this website will help us extend our reach into our community!

Finally, thank you so much to everyone who has prayed for our preschool. Thank you to the wonderful people who donated your time updating our classroom, cleaning the room, and painting the classroom. Thank you to everyone who has donated money to our classroom, to our tuition assistance program, and who have given offerings in the name of our preschool. We could not have this wonderful outreach program with out the support of all of you!

Many Blessings,

Mrs. Kruse
